No. The openings are woven into the material and are designed to allow light through while still providing coverage when worn. Like most swimwear, the fabric can appear slightly lighter when wet.

Yes. The lightweight, breathable construction is designed to dry quickly, so you feel fresh and comfortable moving from the water to lounging.

Tan-through swimwear does not replace sunscreen. Always apply appropriate sun protection to all areas of exposed skin, including beneath the swimwear, and follow normal sun-safety guidance. Begin with shorter periods of exposure, as skin beneath traditional swimwear may be less accustomed to sunlight.

Our fabric is designed to allow a controlled amount of light through; it is not a substitute for sunscreen and we do not claim a guaranteed SPF level or tanning result. Please continue to use sun protection and follow standard sun-safety advice.

Rinse in cool, fresh water straight after wear. Hand wash gently with a mild soap, avoid wringing or twisting, and reshape then dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight. Avoid contact with oils, lotions and rough surfaces to keep the fabric at its best.

We recommend hand washing only and drying flat. Machine washing, tumble drying and ironing can damage the delicate tan-through fabric.

Yes, though prolonged exposure to chlorine can affect any swimwear over time. Rinse thoroughly in fresh water after each use to prolong the life of your pieces.
